Guidelines for the AAUW 2010
Scholarship Applicant

1.    Apply for financial aid at the Atlanta area college or university you will         attend in Fall 2010.

2.    Review these criteria for the AAUW award. Preference is given to                 women who are:

           a.    At least 30 years of age.

b.    Legal residents of Georgia attending a regionally accredited                Atlanta area college or university. 

c.    Returning to school to complete a bachelor’s degree.

d.    A college junior or senior in Fall 2010 (full or part time).

e.    Seeking funds for supplemental expenses (e.g., books, fees, childcare,  transportation). Tuition funds must be covered from other sources.

f.    In good academic standing.

g.   Applicants majoring in all academic fields are encouraged to apply.  Those majoring in any of the following programs will be given additional consideration: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and other non-traditional majors, as well as Education and Nursing. 

3.    Click attached application to download and complete

       Arrange for the following to be sent:

a.    Academic transcript from current or most recent institution.

b.    Letter of reference from someone who knows you well (not a                 family member).

4.  Send the completed application, transcript, and letter of reference to:

5.    Materials must be postmarked on or before March 1, 2010.
