Guidelines
for the AAUW 2008
Financial Aid Applicant
1.
Apply for financial aid at the Atlanta area
school you will attend in Fall 2008.
2.
Review these criteria for the AAUW award.
Preference is given to women who are:
a.
US citizens at least 30 years of age.
b.
Legal residents of Georgia attending an
Atlanta area college or university.
c.
Returning to school to complete an undergraduate
degree.
d.
A college junior or senior in Fall 2008 (full
or part time).
e.
Seeking funds for supplemental expenses (e.g.,
childcare, transportation). Tuition funds must be covered from other
sources.
f.
In good academic standing.
3.
Click attached
application to download and complete. Arrange
for the following to be sent:
a.
Academic transcript from current or most
recent institution.
b.
Letter of reference from someone who knows you
well (not a family member).
4.
Send the completed application, transcript,
and letter of reference to:

5.
Materials
must be postmarked on or before April 15, 2008.
Be
sure that all forms are completed accurately. We look forward to

scholarships will be invited to attend an Atlanta Branch, AAUW meeting
and to participate in our annual fundraising event, the AAUW Bookfair,
a sale of used books.

Association of University Women is a non-profit educational

organization working for the advancement of women. Funds for these
local Atlanta area AAUW awards are raised through our annual AAUW
